VERRICO & ASSOCIATES LTD (formerly Joanna Verrico & Associates) was established in 1994 by Joanna Verrico. It started out as a small Licensed Conveyancing practice run by Joanna and her three daughters. Over the last 30 years, the business has grown but at heart it still remains a family business; small enough to care with real people you can talk to, but big enough to ensure that your transaction is completed effectively and efficiently.
We are proud to offer our clients the personal service that they expect and deserve but clients can also monitor progress via our on-line case tracker.
Much of our work comes to us via personal introductions and recommendations from returning clients and since 1994, we have built up a formidable reputation for friendly, personal service, efficiency, integrity, attention to detail and speed. Because we only do property work our experienced team is able to remain completely focussed.

MEET THE TEAM
JOANNA MARGARET VERRICO (Managing Director)
Joanna started her career in the legal profession when she left school. She initially worked in Grays Inn, London as a legal secretary where she was given the opportunity to study all aspects of the law. Following her move from London, she first qualified as an Associate of the Institute of Legal Executive but then decided to concentrate her energies on property law. She qualified as a Licensed Conveyancer in 1985 and has worked in East Kent ever since. She started her own conveyancing practice in 1994 encouraged and ably assisted by her three daughters, Stella, Jacqueline and Joanne.
LEA ATKINSON (Director)
Lea has over 25 years’ experience in the legal profession and qualified as a Licensed Conveyancer in 2005. Adopting a prompt, thorough and knowledgeable approach to all aspects of residential conveyancing, Lea strives to take the stress out of what can often be a daunting prospect for both buyers and sellers. Lea has worked locally for the whole of her legal career and during that time has developed a strong rapport with both estate agents and other legal professionals.
JOANNE GEORGINA VERRICO (Director)
Joanne is an experienced Conveyancing Executive who has worked for Verrico & Associates Limited since 1996. She is calm and considerate and confidently handles all aspects of the conveyancing process. In particular, Joanne deals with most of the post-exchange of contracts work, checking that all the necessary documentation and funds are in place in time for the final completion date and ensuring that everything runs smoothly for our clients on their all-important moving date.
STELLA MEEHAN (nee Verrico) (Director)
Stella is an instrumental part of the success of Verrico & Associates Limited; from when it was first established, she worked initially as a part time conveyancing secretary, progressing to a full-time conveyancing executive and today, as the firm’s Head of Finance and Administration (HoFA). Stella has an excellent all-round knowledge of conveyancing practice and has oversight of accounts, including checking financial statements, calculation and payment of Stamp Duty Land Tax and other post-completion work such as the registration of transactions and interests in property with H.M. Land Registry.
PENNY ASHTON
Penny is a valued member of staff and is an experienced and adaptable legal secretary with excellent written and verbal communication skills. She is on the front line and meets clients face to face and helps them with their initial enquiries.
ANGELA POWELL
Angela is also an experienced legal secretary and, like Penny, understands clients’ needs. She shows good attention to detail which is essential in conveyancing matters. She works well under pressure, is a valued team member and has great interpersonal skills.
